Mary Berk, Ph.D.

Mary Berk has worked in product management for nearly 20 years. She has worked at a range of companies, including Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Meta, as well as startups. Mary has expertise in ecommerce, adtech, risk management, privacy, trust and safety/integrity, and monetization. Mary teaches Product Management in UC Berkeley’s MBA program, and holds a Ph.D. in moral philosophy (ethics) from The Johns Hopkins University.

Mary supports public and private companies, as well as individuals at all stages of their development. Her interest is in helping product managers and product management organizations build better products and increase their effectiveness, whether that’s by organizing teams for maximum impact, or by supporting individuals as they grow in their craft. 

I help companies set up high functioning product teams and provide top-to-bottom support: executive and PM coaching, organizational guidance, training, and in-the-trenches support for typical PM deliverables (including strategy, roadmap, communications, and more). Read more on the Services page.
